Vita-Min Multiple Sport® 40+ by Olimp is a complex formula with minerals and vitamins required for normal functioning of the body. The addition of ashwagandha extract reduces a negative impact of stress on health and saw palmetto extract supports a healthy genitourinary system. The selection of ingredients ensures improvement in health of individuals over the age of 40. The supplements comprises two complexes: VITA-PLEX SPORT® 40+ and CHELA-MIN SPORT® 40+.

It is a formula with B vitamins which are essential to maintaining good health and vitamin A, D, E, K and C. The capsule is enriched with saw palmetto and ashwagandha extract. This contributes to maintaining healthy function of the body and protects from negative effects of stress.

Vitamin A shows a beneficial impact on the functioning of vision. It protects the macula from degenerative processes and thus reduces the age-related visual impairment.

B vitamins support the methylation process in the body. It is required for proper activation and deactivation of enzymes. This results in improving the efficiency of numerous processes in the body and enhancing energy production. Vitamins from this group show a beneficial effect on the nervous system which contributes to improving cognitive functions. This action is due to, among other things, the reduction in levels of homocysteine. It is a sulphur-containing amino acid which damages the structure of blood vessels in an excessive concentration.

Vitamin D is a factor necessary for maintaining normal structure of bone tissue. It supports calcium and phosphorous metabolism in the body and thus helps build them into the bones and teeth.

Vitamin D is structurally similar to androgenic hormones. This helps maintain normal production of these hormones which decreases with age.

The action of this vitamin is enhanced by vitamin K which promotes normal bone mineralisation. This prevents the age-related degradation of bone tissue. It is also an important factor responsible for normal blood clotting. This protects from the formation of blood clots which are one of the factors in the development of cardiovascular diseases.

Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant. By neutralising free radicals, it mitigates their negative impact on cellular health. Antioxidant activity of this vitamin is enhanced by the addition of vitamin E which supports the structure of blood vessels.

Saw palmetto extract supports a healthy prostate. This results from the fact that it reduces testosterone conversion into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a hormone whose excessive production contributes to developing prostatic hyperplasia. Maintaining healthy androgen levels helps improve male genitourinary function.

Ashwagandha extract is a plant raw material which supports the body in coping with negative effects of stress. Such action is due to compounds from the group of withanolides which have a neurotonic effect. They lower also excessive cortisol levels which have a negative effect on the whole endocrine system. The extract adds energy and ensures well-being.

This supplement’s formula contains microelements vital to the functioning of the body, such as: magnesium, calcium, potassium, zinc, iron, manganese, copper, iodine, chromium and selenium. They are in the form of Albion® amino acid chelates which are characterised by more efficient absorption and less side effects.

Magnesium – is one of the most important minerals in the body. Many factors (e.g. stress) contribute to its deficiency and that is why its adequate supplementation is important to maintain normal health. In the form of ion, it is involved in transmitting a nerve impulse within a neuron.

Since it is an effective blocker of calcium channels, it takes part in the mechanism of muscle contraction. It regulates the function of muscles, consequently protecting them from excessive contraction. Magnesium is a crucial mineral to energy production and affects thus efficient function of the whole body.

Calcium – is an essential mineral responsible for maintaining normal bone and tooth structure. It is a building block of these structures and ensures their normal endurance. Along with magnesium, it is involved in initiating the contraction of skeletal and smooth muscles.

Potassium – is an element whose deficiency is a common phenomenon in persons over the age of 40. Many factors (among other things stress) cause severe depletion of this mineral in the body which contributes to its dysfunction. Potassium cations are the primary intracellular ions. They help determine a normal membrane potential.

What is more, potassium is involved in transmitting information through the neuron and maintaining the body’s water-electrolyte homeostasis.

Zinc – is found in the body in trace amounts. However, it is an element essential to healthy immune function. Its deficiency leads to chronic inflammation which is a factor responsible for development of many serious diseases.

A proper zinc concentration is important to maintain normal testosterone production in the testicles. In men over the age of 40, the production of testosterone decreases which contributes to lower body efficiency and poor mood. Maintaining normal production of this hormone is responsible for the production of high-quality semen, high libido and well-being.

Zinc has also a significant for insulin function. This helps maintain normal blood glucose levels which facilitates effective energy production and protects from the development of diabetes.

Iron – is an essential component of haemoglobin which is the red blood pigment. It is responsible for oxygen transport and accumulation which contributes to more effective function of the body. Adequate oxygen supply to cells is necessary for energy production.

Manganese – is a cofactor required for function of many enzymes. It is responsible for normal synthesis of antioxidant enzymes (e.g. manganese superoxide dismutase). As a result, it supports the body in fighting free radicals which have a toxic effect on cells.

Copper – is an element responsible for iron metabolism in the body. It is involved in the formation of haemoglobin which improves oxygen exchange in the body. This contributes to better nourishment of tissues and thus more effective function.

It regulates many processes in the body which results from the fact that it is a cofactor of numerous enzymes.

Iodine – its main reservoir is thyroid. Normal levels of this element in the body are required for efficient function of this organ. It participates in the production of thyroid hormones: thyroxine and triiodothyronine which regulate the function of the whole body. It is especially important that they control metabolism and are responsible for thermoregulation.

Chromium – a mineral essential to life. Its main task is to regulate carbohydrate metabolism. It is a component of glucose tolerance factor (GTF) which is responsible for glucose transport from the blood to cells. Owing to that, it normalises blood glucose and insulin levels.

It has a beneficial effect on blood lipid levels and therefore protects from the development of cardiovascular diseases.

Selenium – is an important component of selenoproteins which show antioxidant activity. What is more, they stimulate the body into producing glutathione – a strong antioxidant enzyme. This helps the body fight efficiently and comprehensively free radicals which contribute to the development of many chronic diseases.

Adequate selenium intake affects also thyroid function. This arises from the fact that this mineral catalyses the conversion of thyroxine into triiodothyronine. This helps also foster the development of the body and regulates its thermogenesis.

Selenium promotes also spermatogenesis and thus ensures the production of high-quality semen and improves fertility. This is important for men over the age of 40 as many factors disrupt the process.

The supplement Vita-Min Multiple Sport 40+ by Olimp is a preparation with the most important vitamins and minerals which promote health and well-being by correcting deficiencies. The addition of plant extracts from ashwgandha and saw palmetto supports healthy function of the body and protects against excessive stress. Maintaining healthy levels of microelements and vitamins in the body is crucial to physically active individuals over the age of 40. This contributes to efficienct energy production and improvement in health.
