4 Enteric 4 Enteric

Sanprobi 4 Enteric is a multi-strain probiotic preparation containing 4 strains of bacteria with proven effect – Lactococcus lactis Rosell®1058, Lactobacillus casei Rosell®215, Lactobacillus helveticus Rosell®52 and Bifidobacterium bifidum Rosell®71.

Each of these strains has been registered and deposited at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, and also authorized for use in the European Union, Canada, and Australia. The strains in the preparation have also been successfully tested for resistance to antibiotics. The safety of the product has been confirmed in both adults and children.

The product has hepatoprotective effects; it regulates intestinal function, strengthens immunity, and can also be used as a gastroprotective agent in the course or after an antibiotic therapy. Thanks to the DRcaps® formula, the capsules are resistant to hydrochloric acid and they dissolve only in the intestines. As a result, it is possible to obtain as many bacteria as possible in the target area.

Lactobacillus helveticus Rosell®52 (the original name Lactobacillus acidophilus) has the ability to produce special surface proteins that limit the adhesion of pathogenic microorganisms to the intestinal epithelium. In addition, it supports the immune response and inhibits the growth of some pathogenic bacteria.

Lactobacillus casei Rosell®215 – a strain found naturally in the intestinal microflora. It has the ability to resist the acidic environment of the stomach and bile salts, thanks to which it reaches the intestines, showing a probiotic effect. In addition, it supports digestion and (along with other strains), it may reduce the risk of post-operative infection.

Bifidobacterium bifidum Rosell®71 – like other afore-mentioned strains, competes with pathogenic bacteria, limits their multiplication and helps to maintain the proper immune response.

Lactococcus lactis Rosell®1058 has a beneficial effect on the intestinal tract, displays hepatoprotective effects and reduces the growth of pathogens.

Microflora and the condition of the liver
At present, a lot is being said about the multidirectional influence of probiotics on the proper functioning of the whole organism. However, the hepatoprotective effect of bacterial strains and the close relationship that occurs in the gut-blood-liver axis are rarely underlined. As it turns out, abnormalities in intestinal microflora, adversely affecting the intestinal barrier, may also contribute to pathological changes in the liver (particularly non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis).

Factors that favor this phenomenon include penetration of pathogenic organisms and their toxins and antigens into the portal system, production of free fatty acids with lipogenesis-stimulating effects or increased activity of pro-inflammatory cytokines in the enterohepatic circulation.

Strains found in the product effectively adhere to the intestinal epithelium and compete with pathogenic microorganisms (Lactobacillus helveticus Rosell®52 and Bifidobacterium bifidum Rosell®71 inhibit the adhesion of E. coli to the intestinal epithelium). In addition, they limit the growth of some bacteria (including S. aureus, L. monocytogenes, C. perfringens and B. cereus), and also have anti-inflammatory effects and affect the composition and metabolism of bile salts.

Optimal functioning of the digestive tract
Probiotics may contribute to the reduction of digestive and absorption disorders as well as gastrointestinal complaints. It was observed that supplementation of the strains found in the probiotic helped to eliminate the symptoms accompanying IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and also reduced the risk of stress-related diarrhea.

In addition, some strains (e.g., Lactococcus lactis Rosell®1058, Lactobacillus casei Rosell®215) produce enzymes that degrade lactose (β-galactosidase) and starch (α-glucosidase), as a result of which they may effectively support digestion and alleviate bloating.

Support of the immune system
The bacterial flora also plays an important role in maintaining the immune response at an appropriate level. It has been shown that the intake of oral probiotic preparations has a modulating effect on immune mechanisms. It was observed that the strains found in the preparation may reduce the risk of food poisoning and upper respiratory tract infections (including in children).

In conclusion, Sanprobi 4 Enteric is a specialized product containing 4 selected strains of probiotic bacteria. The preparation helps to maintain the proper composition of the intestinal microflora, relieves digestive problems and supports the immune response. In addition, thanks to the hepatoprotective properties of the precisely selected strains, the probiotic can also be used as an adjuvant in case of liver disorders.

Lactococcus lactis

Information

Lactococcus lactis (formerly Streptococcus lactis) are Gram-positive bacteria, capable of conducting lactic fermentation, considered to be the so-called safe microorganisms (GRAS – generally recognizes as safe), possessing probiotic properties. They can be found in food products such as kvass, cheeses, yoghurts. In addition, they naturally occur in the human digestive system.

In addition to a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract and the condition of the gut, Lactococcus lactis bacteria promote the strengthening of immunity; they may alleviate allergy symptoms and promote normal blood pressure. They also demonstrate antioxidant properties and increase the activity of endogenous antioxidant enzymes – catalase, superoxide dismutase, and glutathione peroxidase.

In supplementation, they are most often combined with other strains. They can be found in many probiotic formulas available at www.muscle-zone.pl

Lactobacillus casei

Information

What is Lactobacillus casei?

Lactobacillus casei is a bacterium of the genus Lactobacillus  which ferments lactic acid. The substrates for lactic acid production are sugar compounds, such as glucose or lactose. Due to its ability to break down the disaccharide lactose to simpler carbohydrates, the bacterium can reduce dairy intolerance. It is found in the urinary bladder where it thus competes with pathogens of the urinary system and reduces infections and the incidence of cancer.

Lactobacillus casei supports the treatment of ailments associated with stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori and treats diarrhoea related to Clostridium difficile infection. Promising results of studies were obtained in relation to the influence of this probiotic strain on the occurrence of allergies. Therefore, its positive effect has been demonstrated on acne, dermatitis, respiratory tract infections, problems with oral cavity and rheumatoid arthritis. By controlling digestion, it helps to maintain a healthy cholesterol ratio.

Lactobacillus casei is found mainly in complex probiotic or symbiotic formulas available at www.muscle-zone.pl

Lactobacillus helveticus

Information

Lactobacillus helveticus – what is it?

Lactobacillus helveticus are lactic acid rods which show probiotic effects, that is they bring benefits for the human body system. It is commonly used in the production of cheeses, to prevent bitterness and produce nutty flavours.

In supplements, it is used to support digestion and absorption of nutrients, raise immunity and fight pathogenic bacteria in the digestive system. It can potentially decrease blood pressure, reduce high concentration of cortisol, which is associated with stress response, and even have anticancer properties. It is believed that L. helveticus can have positive influence on general well-being. An interesting advantage is also improvement in sleep quality caused by probiotic.

Bifidobacterium bifidum

Information

Bifidobacterium bifidum – what is it?

Bifidobacterium bifidum is a Gram-positive bacteria strain of the Bifidobacterium genus. It is non-motile, anaerobic and rod-shaped. In the human body system, it is present mainly in the large intestine, but also in the final parts of the small intestine, vagina and mother’s milk. It is one of the most commonly used strains in probiotic preparations.

The benefits of the use of probiotics containing this bacterium include smaller risk of diarrhoea, induced both by infections and antibiotics, as well as lower risk of infections caused by Escherichia Coli bacteria. It can be also helpful in restoring bacterial homeostasis in vagina. Bifidobacterium bifidum can contribute to better nutrition of the whole organism, because of its ability to produce particular vitamins from B and K groups. It can be also helpful in regulation of respiratory system functions, thanks to the reduction in histamine production and improvement in antibodies response.
