Description
  • Bioactive, highly bioavailable forms of vitamins
  • Vitamin B12 in a methylated form
  • Bioactive, methylated folate
  • Vitamin B6 as P-5-P

Apollo's Hegemony+ Homocysteine Control is a dietary supplement containing a complex of B vitamins in highly bioavailable, active forms: vitamin B2, B6, B12, and folate.

Vitamin B6, vitamin B12, and folate help to maintain normal homocysteine metabolism. Homocysteine is a sulfur amino acid that is a metabolite of the amino acid methionine. An elevated concentration of homocysteine in the body - hyperhomocysteinemia - increases the risk of a high number of disorders including cardiovascular and nervous system disorders. Deficiencies of vitamins B6, B12, and folic acid, as well as polymorphisms of the MTHFR gene, among others, contribute to elevated homocysteine levels.

Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) contributes to maintaining correct energy metabolism, supports correct functioning of the nervous system, and helps to protect cells against oxidative stress. A co-enzymatic form of Vitamin B2 - riboflavin phosphate - is used in this formula.

In conclusion, Apollo's Hegemony+ Homocysteine Control is a product recommended to effectively supplement the diet with B vitamins.
