Thyroid is the biggest endocrine gland, whose hormones (triiodothyronine – T3 and thyroxine - T4) perform various functions and have a very wide range of effects on the organism. Thyroid hormones are responsible for, e.g., regulating water-electrolyte balance and basic metabolism, as well as cholesterol metabolism and protein biosynthesis.
Thyroid dysfunctions occur in an ever growing number of people. There are 2 main types of thyroid diseases distinguished - hypothyroidism, whose main cause is too little thyroid hormones, and hyperthyroidism, in which case there is too much of them.
Our shop can offer supplements that support thyroid functions, stimulate hormone secretion (iodine, selenium, zinc), improve the conversion of T4 into T3 - a more biologically active form (guggul) and constitute a direct source of hormones (bovine thyroid extract).
