Description
  • Microencapsulated sodium butyrate
  • 30% pure butyric acid
  • Enteric capsules

Suppcount Sodium Butyrate is a dietary supplement containing sodium butyric acid (sodium butyrate).

The innovative microcapsulation technology protects against premature release of butyric acid in the upper gastrointestinal tract and allows it to safely reach the large intestine in an unchanged state. The used form of sodium salt additionally neutralizes the smell and taste specific to butyrate.

Sodium butyrate is a source of butyric acid, which belongs to the group of short-chain fatty acids (SCFA). Endogenous butyric acid is naturally produced in the large intestine, more specifically in the colon. It is mainly produced by bacterial fermentation of undigested carbohydrates.

Butyric acid is the primary source of energy for colonocytes, i.e. the cells of the colon epithelium. It plays an important role in the process of regeneration, growth and differentiation of these structures, and also helps to maintain the integrity of the intestinal epithelium. In addition, it has a positive effect on the condition of the intestinal microflora.

To sum up, Suppcount Sodium Butyrate is a dietary supplement that helps effectively replenish the levels of butyric acid in the gut.
