Choline is a water-soluble substance, palying important biological roles, which causes that it is considered as a vitamin – often being put on the same footing vitamins of the B group. It represents a substrate for the synthesis of acetylcholine (ACh) and endogenous phospholipids building cell membranes.

Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter responsible, among other things, for the functions of memory, logical reasoning and the ability to concentrate. Agitation of the transduction in the cholinergic system improves the function of CNS, restores correct memory and cognitive functions, and also has a positive effect on the affective and behavioral sphere.
