Aliness Vitamin C Quali-C® is a pharmaceutical quality dietary supplement. It contains pure vitamin C in the patented form of Quali-C®. This supplement supports the immune system, helps to maintain healthy joints and skin, and has antioxidant properties. Due to its high quality it is safe and recommended for children.

Vitamin C is an organic chemical compound belonging to unsaturated polyhydroxyl alcohols group. It is a water-soluble vitamin, and due to its participation in many reactions and high antioxidant potential, it provides a broad spectrum of action in the body.

This vitamin is found in many food products consumed every day by an average person, i.e.: strawberry, white cabbage, kiwi, broccoli or pepper. However, it is highly unstable and it easily decomposes under the influence of temperature, in the sunlight or during storage. As a result, only a small amount of the ascorbic acid initially contained in food gets into the system. That is why its supplementation may be necessary, especially during periods of increased stress or exposure to pathogens.

Excellent, patented quality
Vitamin C Quali-C® contained in this supplement is the only patented form of Vitamin C that meets all European safety standards (USP, FCC and Ph. Eur.). The manufacturer guarantees that this product contains only L-ascorbic acid, which is gluten, soya or lactose free. It is produced in Sweden in accordance with the international standards of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points System), i.e. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Vitamin C as modulator of immunity
The immune system support is one of the best-known role of vitamin C. It can be justified, as the L-ascorbic acid performs a number of functions, both, partial and specific, in the immune response.

This compound can activate cells involved in the acquired immunity (B or T lymphocytes or NK cells), and that belong to the specialized units which remove pathogens and kill harmful cells, including cancer cells. In addition, vitamin C contributes to the production of cytokines that activate further elements of the immune system, i.e. interferon. By activating NK cells and macrophages, and accelerating antigen presentation to lymphocytes the body responds faster to pathogen penetration.

According to research  vitamin C can significantly reduce the duration of infections and colds in both, athletes and in people with moderate physical activity. Moreover, its supplementation during the period when the body is under particularly high strain lowers the incidence of seasonal diseases by 50%.

Joint structure support
Many people are not aware of the less obvious effect of vitamin C which is its important role in collagen synthesis. Collagen is the main protein forming connective tissue and it is responsible for skin, tendons and joint cartilage elasticity. Vitamin C participates in many collagen production reactions, so it should be an essential element of supplementation during convalescence and joint rehabilitation

Antioxidant properties of vitamin C
L-ascorbic acid is one of the strongest antioxidants naturally occurring in food. By reducing the harmful activity of reactive oxygen species known as free radicals it has a beneficial effect on the circulatory system condition and counteracts cancer processes. The effect of vitamin C is not limited only to oxidative homeostasis equalisation, as it also supports other antioxidants, such as vitamin E.

Damage caused by free radicals activity results from the oxidation of cell membranes lipids, DNA fragments and proteins. Oxidized forms lose their original properties, and their functionality is disturbed. This mechanism lies behind many civilization diseases, such as atherosclerosis or cancer.

To sum up,  Aliness Vitamin C Quali-C® is the highest quality supplement providing pure L-ascorbic acid. It is an excellent product for people who want to strengthen their immunity, improve the condition of cardiovascular system and joint, or correct deficiencies.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) it is a vitamin soluble in body fluids, can be taken from foods (fruits and vegetables), or as drug derived synthetically. The largest of its resources can be found in broccoli, Brussels sprout, kale, black currant fruit and hawthorn, citrus fruits, tomatoes, Savoy cabbage, potatoes. In fact, intake of vitamin C of the food products does not limit the absorbed quantity. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a potent antioxidant, it is an antitoxic, increasing the immune system due to the elimination of risk of bacterial contamination. Vitamin C prevents rupture of blood vessels, affects the blood cholesterol level. It substantially increases the absorption of iron. Inhibits the growth of cancer cells. Lowers stress levels.
Vitamin C deficiency causes abnormal development of connective tissue, cracking capillaries, abnormal calcification of bone tissue, impaired
absorption of iron, scorbutus. With the lack of vitamin C, all kinds of injuries do not heal up properly. Vitamin C deficiency can be caused by smoking; each cigarette is destroying up to 100 mg of vitamin C.
Dosage: The demand is 60-80 mg daily. It does not limit the ability to consume higher doses. Some side effects may occur only with longer
taking of synthetic vitamin C.

Ascorbic acid

Ascorbic acid – vitamin C. Its biologically active form is the L-isomer, which negatively rotates the polarised light, so that it is a dextroisomer (laevorotatory vitamin C does not exist). It is a strong antioxidant; it reduces the amounts of free radicals, which reduces oxidative stress, a factor leading to cell apoptosis, which is why it is indicated to be a cause for premature ageing.

It supports the immune system functions and increases body system immunity. It is an essential element of the collagen synthesis path, which is why it positively affects the condition of connective tissue. Hence, it promotes also wound healing and increases the durability of capillary vessel. It is involved in transformations of tyrosine and carnitine as well as of some nutrients, so that it affects metabolism. It can also have an impact on the nervous system functions, as it reduces mental fatigue.

Higher supply of vitamin C is especially recommended in the periods of more intensive body system burden, after infections and in order to accelerate regeneration. The indications for increased supply of the vitamin are also hard physical work or intensive trainings.
