Citrulline Malate Citrulline Malate

Every athlete knows that energy is essential to perform a physical effort. ATP is a molecular entity in the intracellular transport of energy. It is created in a number of ways in the body. Studies have prven that citrulline malate increases ATP production in muscles (according to researches – by about 35%), and also takes part in the reproduction of phosphocreatine after exercises. This is especially important for athletes who do endurance sports, but not only.

Citrulline malate is a l-citrulline compound – non-protein amino acid and malic acid. L-citrulline is involved in the urea cycle (a metabolic cycle held in the liver). It helps to remove toxic ammonia from the body, emerging, among other things, from the dissolution of amino acids. Citrulline also helps to remove lactic acid, which together with ammonia is an unwanted and harmful substance being produced during exercises. This improves post-workout regeneration and comfort (less 'sores'), and also allows to exercise more efficiently.

The malic acid can be used in the Krebs cycle, which in theory may result in increased energy production.

Citrulline is a precursor to arginine and works a bit the same, because often both of these substances are present in supplements. It increases the synthesis of nitric oxide, which improves blood flow, increases its supply to muscles, pumping nutrients (amino acids, creatine). Such products are called NO-boosters or vasodilatators – they are typical pre-workouts or creatine 'matrixes'. The effect of vasodilatation is followed by the stabilization of blood pressure.

It is worth mentioning that citrulline malate before he appeared on the supplement market, he acted as a drug under the name Stimol. It is a preparation fighting a chronic fatigue. It is a product which is practically free of side effects.

Description
  • Citrulline malate is a connection of two active ingredients – citrulline and malic acid
  • Supports ATP synthesis in the body, it is invaluable in endurance sports
  • Participates in the urea cycle – increases the excretion of toxic ammonia
  • Eliminates lactic acid, prevents muscle sores
  • Dilates blood vessels, giving the effect of 'muscle pump'

L-Citrulline

Information

What is L-Citrulline?

L-Citrulline is an α-amino acid, ornithine derivative. It was isolated for the first time from watermelon and this is how it gained its name, as citrullus in Latin means watermelon. Citrulline takes part in oxygen processes of energy production during effort, thanks to which it is especially attractive for sportsmen of endurance disciplines. It also takes part in urea cycle, also known as the Ornithine cycle, thanks to which it helps to get rid of excessive amounts of ammonia from the organism.

It converts to l-arginine in kidneys and scientific studies suggest that is increases its level even more effectively than in case of sole arginine. Moreover, the increase of arginine level resulting from citrulline supply is longer and more stable. Thanks to this, it contributes to the increase of nitric oxide and widening of blood vessel lumen. This property makes citrulline useful in preventing cardiological incidents. The positive influence on the circulatory system is also used in case of erection disorders, as increased nitric oxide may initiate more effective blood flow to sex organs.

L-Citrulline is contained in the composition of many pre-workout supplements and NO-boosters directed at the improvement of sports abilities of the organism, which may be found in the offer of muscle-zone.pl
