Rebuild EDGE Rebuild EDGE

BSN Rebuild EDGE is a protein supplement of rich composition. It contains 4 forms of creatine (monohydrate, hydrochloride, magnesium chelate and anhydrous creatine), L-glutamine, micronized BCAA, false ginseng extract (Panax notoginsneg) and chestnut rose friut extract (Rosa roxburghii). This product comes in 3 different flavours: Fruit Punch, Cranberry Limeade and Strawberry Orange.

BSN Rebuild EDGE minimises the fatigue after an intense workout, supports muscle regeneration and anabolic processes. Post-workout supplementation helps to maintain muscle performance and great shape after an intense workout preventing overtraining and protecting muscles from unwanted catabolic processes.

Proprietary blend ActiGin consisting of false ginseng extract (Panax notoginsneg) and chestnut rose friut extract (Rosa roxburghii) is highly advanced, natural complex created especially to speed up the post-workout muscle recoveryeffectively.  Clinical trials proved its anti-inflammatory activity revealed in reduction of inflammatory markers - MDA (Malondialdehyde), IL-6 and CK (Creatine Kinase) produced during an intense physical activity. Lowering levels of inflammatory markers in blood serum speeds up the muscle regeneration. It has been proved that this blend enhances the synthesis of glycogen in muscles and influences the steady state energy level. The right rate of muscle glycogen recovery after workout is crucial for proper regeneration.

L-glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in muscle and the third in blood and brain. It is a precursor of GABA – an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the nervous system.  The effect of GABA is tranquillisation and reduction of both anxiety and psychosocial stress. GABA influences anabolic processes. It may intensify the synthesis of the growth hormone (GH) that enables muscle mass growth and fat tissue lipolysis.  By affecting the activity of lymphocytes Th2 (humoral immune response), L-glutamine strengthens the immune system. This amino acid maintains gut health and helps in food intolerances. The L-glutamine demand grows with the intense muscle work.

Creatine is a nitrogenous organic acid  that occurs naturally in skeletal muscles, partially in a form of  phosphocreatine and is an important source of metabolic energy. Creatine increases workout effectiveness by neutralising created in the anaerobic glycolysis lactic acid which lowers pH resulting in faster fatigue and reduced muscle strength. By intensifying anabolic and anti-catabolic processes, creatine protects proteins against dissolution after training and increases growth, strength and endurance of the muscle mass.  Helps to increase lean body mass. Creatine combined with workout increases level of IGF-1, a growth factor that strongly activates metabolism processes.

4 different forms of creatine efficiently supplement muscle creatine levels.  All those forms: monohydrate, hydrochloride, magnesium chelate and anhydrous creatine differ in duration and bioavailability. Using them combined together in one supplement provides your skeletal muscle with the optimal amount of creatine for a sufficiently long time.

BCAA (branched-chain amino acids):L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine, is a must-have supplement for every athlete. BCAA  have a positive effect on the nitrogen balance and are involved in the regeneration of glycogen. Additionally, they are a valuable energy source for working muscles. By influencing the activation of the mTOR pathway (also stimulated by strength training) BCAAs taken after training intensify the anabolic processes. They have anti-catabolic abilities and facilitate the muscle mass growth. BCAAs are suitable for both periods – reduction and mass gain.

Lactoferrin is a glycoprotein from the group of transferrins present in the body fluids, especially in milk and colostrum. Lactoferrin strengthens the immune system. It is present in neutrophil granules, in intestines and it is an important element of the defensive barrier. This multifunctional protein has immunoregulatory, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antineoplastic properties. As a transferrin it shows an affinity for iron ions, necessary for bacterial growth. The chelation of iron ions by lactoferrin imitates multiplication of pathogenic bacteria.

Bitter melon (Momordica charantia) ensures the optimal glucose metabolism and has a stabilizing effect on  blood glucose level. It improves cells insulin sensitivity.  Contains a P polypeptide that shows insulin-like activity. Bitter melon fruits influence the replenishment of glycogen, increase the workout effectiveness and boost energy level during it.  The studies revealed thatin the group taking the supplement containing bitter melon fruit the muscle mass gain was bigger in comparison to the control group.

BSN Rebuild EDGE is a complex supplement that speeds up the muscle regeneration and supports increase in muscle’s strength and endurance. Recommended especially for physically active people, sportsmen and those who want to increase the lean body mass and reduce fatty tissue, during the time of reduction and mass gain.

Calories

Information

Calories are the conventional name of the unit expressing the energy value of food, the demand and energy expenditure in human body, which in fact is 1 kilocalorie (1 kcal). 1 kilocalorie is the amount of thermal energy required to heat 1 g of water and 1 degree Celsius. The SI unit of thermal energy is 1 joule (1J), equal to approximately 4,185 kcal.
The energy value is determined by the chemical composition of the food product, by means of the so-called. physiological equivalents. Most often Atwater equivalent is used: ratio for protein 4 kcal / g, for carbohydrates 4kcal / g, and for fat - 9kcal / g.
The energy value carried out with the so-called. "Caloric bomb" is equivalent to the physical energy, amounting to 4.1 kcal per 1 g carbohydrate to 5.65 kcal per 1 g protein, 9.45 kcal per 1 g of fat.
Nutritional value, determines the suitability of a food product for realizing life functions of human, the higher it is - the higher bioavailability and lower quantity for consumption for obtaining the effects.

Carbohydrates

Information

Carbohydrates are an essential nutrient. They are divided into: simple sugars (monosaccharides), disaccharides and polysaccharides. In terms of the human bioavailability of carbohydrates is divided into: digestabe, those which are digested in the gastrointestinal tract by transferring energy to the tissues or cells (such as starch, fructose) and indigestable, resistant to digestive enzymes (e.g. cellulose) . Affects blood glucose levels (glycemic index) and the metabolism of insulin (insulin index). The greatest demand for carbohydrates occurs before physical activity or in the middle of it, because they increase the exercise capacity, consumed after exercise provide regeneration. In the sports diet the absorption rate it is important of carbohydrates and reactions of the organism. Available in mono-preparation supplements and part of the energetic supplements, creatine stacks, nitrogen boosters.
Dosage: according to the statistics of the Institute of Food and Nutrition, carbohydrates should comprise about 50% of daily energy intake. In some diets, used
residual carbohydrate consumption, not exceeding 30g / 24h.

Sodium

Information

Sodium is an important component of the intracellular fluids, and is a regulator of acid-base balance. Along with potassium affects the proper of growth and provides the proper functioning of muscles and nerves. The source of acquisition is table salt (NaCl) and bladderwrack, shellfish, bacon, beef, and of plant beets and carrots. People on salt-free diet should avoid, among others, spicy sauces and smoked meats and sausages.
Sodium deficiency is very rare, at heaving sweating after a long effort (e.g. in the marathon).
Excess sodium increases blood pressure (especially for the elderly), edema and increased thirst. Exceeding the daily dose of 14g a day can cause poisoning.

L-glutamine

Information

L-glutamine - amino acid building endogenous proteins, glutamic acid amide. In the human body it is responsible for the synthesis of proteins, acid-base balance and removing ammonia outside of the organism. With the shortage of energy taken from the muscle tissue, glutamine with alanine participate in the process of gluconeogenesis, and participate in the production of glucose substrate. L-glutamine has a direct impact on the proper functioning of the digestive system and immunity of the organism. Participates in the synthesis of one of the most powerful antioxidant - glutathione. It has anti-catabolic potential. It is found naturally in foods of animal and vegetable origin and high protein supplements. Used as mono-preparation or multi-component amino-acid supplements and supplements enhancing biological recovery after exercises, often in combination with BCAA.
Dosage: 5-20 g per day (portioned during the day, and after training and waking up). The minimum dose used in supplementation is 2-15g per 1 serving.

BCAA

Information

BCAA are three essential amino acids having a side branched aliphatic chain (isoleucine, leucine, and valine) and a similar course of metabolic processes, occurring in the muscle tissue. In its natural form, they are found in high-protein animal foods (i.e. beef, milk proteins). BCAA have the anti-catabolic and anabolic potential. They support energy carriers during the energy crisis and affect the functioning of the nervous system (eliminate stress, reduce fatigue), hormone activity and kinases, which are responsible for the metabolism of proteins. In the sports supplementation they are used as supporting elements of exercise capacity (strength and endurance) and post-workout recovery; also as anti-catabolic and catalyst of anabolic changes. Taking BCAA after exercise almost immediately restores the levels of these amino acids in the blood (excluding liver) and supplies the muscle tissue. Leucine activates of mTOR kinases (starting anabolism of muscle proteins) and has the intensified effect with insulin, which acts on the PI3-kinase and protein kinase B. Branched amino acids chain BCAA, willingly used by strength, strength-endurance and endurance athletes, they are available in the form of single-component supplements, and advanced amino acid supplements, creatine, pre- and post- training stacks, and isotonic drinks.
Dosage: usually 1-2 grams of BCAA per 10 kg of body weight per day. Mainly before and after training.

Leucine

Information

Leucine is an essential amino acid, one of the three branched chain amino acids, ketogenic, its isomer is isoleucine. It affects the secretion of anabolic hormones (insulin, combined carbohydrates), acts on enzymes (mTOR) starting the process of muscle protein synthesis and controlling its course. Protein synthesis by leucine is affecting the development of bones, muscles and skin. It reduces the fat tissue. Without the availability of leucine, protein synthesis is impossible. It naturally occurs in animal products (such as eggs, meat, dairy and fish), plant origin, and as a post-training supplements, BCAA, EAA, no-boosters, creatine stacks, carbohydrate supplements. Ir is also in the form of mono-preparation supplements. It is one of the most important amino acids for the athlete's body, basically in every sports discipline.
Dosage: The demand is 5-10 g / 24h, dosage pre- and post-workout and in the morning after waking up.

Isoleucine

Information

Isoleucine is an essential branched amino acid (BCAA), leucine-isomer. It has anti-catabolic action ( protects muscle against decay), glucogenic (an alternative energy source when the level of glucose after exercise decreases, helps for the regulation of blood glucose levels, reduces the deficiency of fatty acids), anti-catabolic (muscle protects against decay), reduces stress. It participates in the synthesis of proteins (including the synthesis of hemoglobin). It is an essential part of the regeneration of damaged tissues of the body, and after intense training. It occurs in products containing animal protein (meat and dairy products, eggs, dairy products) and plant (almonds, walnuts) and dietary supplements.
Isoleucine is applied with other branched chain amino acids: leucine, valine, and in the supplement complex type of BCAA, in the proportions: leucine: isoleucine: valine = 2: 1: 1. The supplements used in competitive sports requiring increased strength, the bigger share of isoleucine is used.
Dosage: No standard daily use. Frequently applied directly after the workout during the decrease of the glucose level of or at fatty acid deficiency.

Valine

Information

Valine – is a branched essential amino acid, indispensible for the functioning of the nervous system (receiving of sensory information), involved in muscle protein synthesis and energy generation. Administration of additional doses of valine before exercise (or immediately after) has anti-catabolic effect, protecting the proteins and allowing them to rebuild. It is slightly stimulatory (delays symptoms of fatigue during workout), affecting the level and relations of neurotransmitters. It helps to protect the liver. It stimulates an increase in strength and muscle mass, participates in the reduction of body fat. BCAA, EAA, and other mixtures of amino acid supplementation, protein and protein supplements and carbohydrate-stacks, brings positive results in strength and endurance sports.
Valine deficiency can occur in case of increased energy needs of the body,
as the result of stress and too much stress load.

Lactoferrin

Information

Lactoferrin - a protein classified to the group of transferrins, naturally occurring in glandular secretions, such as saliva or milk. Its especially high concentration is noted in colostrum and mother’s milk. It takes part in shaping non-specific immunity. It demonstrates a wide scope of immune functions, has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti-parasitic and anti-inflammatory properties.

The properties of lactoferrin are noticed not only in relation to body fluids, but also in case of its supplementation. Therefore, supplements with lactoferrin are used in order to improve immune functions of the organism. This protein is especially effective in the fight with viral infections.

Moreover, lactoferrin demonstrates the ability to chelate iron ions, which also demonstrates positive influence on the immune functions. It also stimulates phagocytosis and has immunotropic effect.

Proprietary blend

Information

Proprietary blend - is a complex of bioactive ingredients in the proportions, which are covered by the manufacturer's patent. According to the law in force in Poland, the components of the blend are known, and , by the place on the packaging, you can identify which components are in bigger amount (the components are listed in the decreasing order of amounts).
Proprietary blends are used in many food supplements, such as creatine stacks, no-boosters, fat burners and pro-testosterone supplements, improving libido.

Creatine monohydrate

Information

Creatine monohydrate is a popular and cheapest form of creatine used in sports supplementation in Poland. This is a molecule, in which are bound: creatine molecule with a molecule of water. It has a high bioavailability and tissue velocity saturation. Supports the exercise capacity (strength and endurance), accelerates muscle growth and regeneration after training exercise. Transport of creatine into the muscle cells is supported by the insulin hormone. For better effect of saturation of the tissues, a diet increasing the content of insulin in the body is indicated (carbohydrate and high protein diet) and supporting nutrients and supplements (Dietary carbohydrate and carbohydrate-protein, insulin ALA, d-pinitol or taurine). Creatine monohydrate is present in the form of mono-preparation supplements (capsules, powders, tablets) and multicomponent supplements (i.e. as a component of creatine stacks).
Dosage: depending on the form of supplement, the type of exercise and weight, normally are used one of the following models of creatine supplementation:
- cyclic supplementation : 5-10g per day in 1-3 portions during the day, 3-5g per dose. The length of the cycle for 4-8 weeks.
- cyclic supplementation with saturated phase: the first 5-7 days after 20-30g daily in 4-6 doses of 4-6g per serving, then the maintenance phase 2-10g per day in divided doses. The length of the cycle 4-8 weeks
- constant supplementation: 0,03-0,05g per kg of body weight for an extended period of time.

Creatine

Information

Creatine (β-methylguanidoacetic acid) is an endogenous substance, synthesized from the acids present in liver and kidney (L-arginine, L-glycine and L-methionine) and consumption of meat. Its action ensures an adenosine triphosphate (ATP) level, which is an energy carrier, increases the hydration of cells and muscle glycogen stores. In the sports supplementation creatine is stored in the muscles, which improves energy management, exercise capacity and quick recovery and muscle growth. It has the ergogenic, anabolic and anti-catabolic potential.
Creatine is one of the high-performance
substances used in competitive sports, with a reputation confirmed by scientific research. In the form of mono-preparation supplements such as creatine ester, creatine malate, creatine monohydrate, and the multi-component supplements (both various forms of creatine, as well as other substances, precursors of nitric oxide, the BCAA type amino acids). Supplements containing creatine available for purchase at www.muscle-zone.pl
Dosage: depending on the form of preparation, the type of exercise and weight, normally one of the following models

Creatine anhydrous

Information

Creatine anhydrous – a creatine compound without a water molecule and thus with much better absorption in the body. It belongs to advanced supplements which are expected to be highly effective in the body. It is designed for professional athletes who treat supplementation seriously.

Creatine is one of the strongest dietary supplements which can be used legally in professional sport. It shows great anabolic potential due to its far-reaching effects in the body. The main one consists in increasing the utilisation of creatine as a substrate in the phosphate energy pathway. As a result, this supplement maximises the body’s energy efficiency in short-term exercise such as strength training or sprints.

Enhanced energy metabolism helps provide stronger training stimuli which speed up muscle anabolism. However, creatine has also other mechanisms of action. As an inhibitor of myostatins, it eliminates factors which limit the growth of muscle mass. What is more, by boosting cell hydration, it optimises an intracellular environment and thus promotes processes of regeneration and development of muscle tissue.

Citric acid

Information

Citric acid (citric acid, E330) is a ingredient of almost every plant and animal cells, widely used in the food industry as an acidity regulator, emulsifier and stabilizer in order to prevent oxidation and preventing discolouration of the product. In the life processes it takes an active part in the Krebs cycle, a negative phosphofructokinase catalyst, enzyme accelerating the rate of glycolysis. In the sports supplementation used in conjunction with creatine. Preparations available at www.muscle-zone.pl
