DHEA DHEA

MRM DHEA is a dietary supplement containing DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone), a steroid hormone naturally produced in the human body system, a precursor to sex hormones. The package contains 90 serving of high-quality micronised DHEA.

Chemical structure of DHEA resembles the structure of testosterone and oestrogen, which is why it can be easily converted into them. DHEA is called a youth hormone. Its proper level positively affects mood, sleep quality and nervous system functions.

After the age of 30‒40, production of this hormone declines. Moreover, such factors as stress and improper nutrition negatively affect its level, which leads to decline in sex hormones and energy level as well as impairs sexual functions. In men, DHEA supports testosterone production, which is the most anabolic hormone; in women, it can relieve menopausal symptoms.

DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) is a weak adrenal androgen, synthesised by male and female body system. DHEA synthesis takes place in zona reticularis of the adrenal cortex. It plays an important role in the body system, as it is a substrate for other androgens (testosterone and dihydrotestosterone) and oestrogens. The way in which DHEA will be transformed in the organism depends on the body system demand for particular hormones.

Production of DHEA begins at the age of 8, reaches its peak at the age of 30 and then declines.

Support for testosterone production
Similar chemical structure of DHEA allows for conversion to androstendione, which is in turn a direct precursor to testosterone. Testosterone level in men is responsible for muscle development, fertility, libido, good mood and health. The proper, lower testosterone level is optimal for women.

Studies confirm the influence of DHEA supplementation on the increase in testosterone level, improved sexual functions, adipose tissue reduction and muscle development.

DHEA supplementation is a safe way to increase testosterone level, as it does not block endogenous production of androgens. Application of exogenous testosterone can block the pituitary responsible for endogenous secretion of hormones stimulating testosterone production in the testes.

Improved brain functions
DHEA protects the central nervous system. It helps to increase the use of ATP, an energy source material for brain cells and mitochondria. Studies demonstrate positive influence of DHEA on learning and memorising as well as on improved mood and well-being. DHEA is also used as a support in depression treatment. Research in people using DHEA demonstrated longer stage of rapid eye movement sleep (REM), which resulted in better knowledge acquisition. This stage is also necessary for brain regeneration.

Stress reduction
The main hormone responsible for organism mobilisation during stress is cortisol. Its level is inversely correlated with testosterone level, as both of them are synthesised from pregnenolone. During prolonged stress reactions, cortisol production uses almost the entire pregnenolone reserve. Application of testosterone precursor in form of DHEA helps to maintain hormonal balance, as low androgens level and raised stress hormone level negatively affect life quality as well as increases catabolism. Moreover, it reduces cognitive skills, leads to sleeping problems, chronic fatigue and decline in libido and sexual functions.

Support for menopausal women
Menopause is a period when a female body system stops to produce the proper amounts of oestrogens. The main symptoms include hot flashes, mood changes, increased sweating and low libido. It has been demonstrated that DHEA supplementation helps to restore the optimal level of oestrogens, which in turn relieves menopausal symptoms.

Reduced risk of metabolic issues
The proper DHEA level reduces inflammations, which occur more often in people with high blood pressure, high cholesterol level and type 2 diabetes. People with metabolic syndrome have low concentration of DHEA in blood. Studies in rodents show protective effect of DHEA supplementation against an increase in dangerous visceral fat and insulin resistance development induced by improper diet and life style. It has been also demonstrated that DHEA reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases in men, lowers cholesterol level and blood pressure.

Healthy bones
DHEA stimulates formation of osteoblasts, the cells responsible for bone formation. DHEA is also used as a support for osteoporosis treatment, as it protects osteoblasts from breakdown (it positively affects the mineral density of bones).

To sum it all up, MRM DHEA is a dietary supplement containing high dose of dehydroepiandrosterone, also known as a “youth hormone”, naturally present in the human body system. Dehydroepiandrosterone production declines with age and during prolonged stress, which negatively affects quality of life. The product restores the optimal level of DHEA and sex hormones produced from it. It will be perfect in both men and women.

DHEA

Information

DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) is the base product for the production of the hormones, estrogen, progesterone and testosterone, which are produced by the adrenal cortex, having androgenic action and anabolic effects. It works on the nervous system, reducing feeling of stress. It speeds up the metabolism by limiting the formation of adipose tissue. It has an impact on the insulin metabolism. Rarely used in sports supplementation, it is used in supporting sports condition for men aged 40+.
Dosage: Up to a few hundred mg per day, depending on individual needs.
