5% Nutrition Crea-Ten is a dietary supplement containing as many as ten different forms of creatine and a mix of substances facilitating its absorption. Such a blend ensures maximum muscle saturation with creatine. One bottle contains 231 g in a comfortable form of powder, available in several delicious flavours.

Creatine is one of the most commonly used supplements both among people who do sports recreationally and among professionals. Creatine is naturally present in the human organism and can be synthesised from glycine and arginine; however, natural production might not be enough to satisfy the needs of a physically active person. Skeletal muscles are the main location of creatine storage but it can also be found in the cardiac muscle, brain, kidneys, and liver.

In skeletal muscles, creatine is transformed into phosphocreatine by the enzyme creatine kinase. The same reaction can take place in the heart and the brain. Phosphocreatine is a compound with high-energy bonds, it provides a phosphate group for the formation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP is an energy carrier in the organism and ensures the delivery of energy to all locations where biochemical processes take place.

When working, muscles use up large amounts of ATP, which is why supplementation with creatine guarantees the maintenance of energy processes on a high level. Research has demonstrated time and again that creatine increases strength, workout performance, and the physical capacity of the organism. Creatine promotes an anabolic environment, which increases the chance of building lean muscle mass.

The Creatine Blend formula consists of as many as ten forms of creatine:

Creatine magnesium chelate – guarantees high bioavailability of creatine. It displays synergic activity, as magnesium, similarly to creatine, participates in energy processes in the body. It is a perfect combination for increasing the organism’s capacity.

Creatine malate – a compound of creatine with malic acid. It is characterised by high chemical stability. Malate participates in the Krebs cycle, which is responsible for the formation of high-energy bonds.

Creatine anhydrous – free of water molecules in its structure, thanks to which it does not increase the content of water in tissues. Also a highly stable compound. It is recommended for people who have to pay attention to weight limits, e.g., in martial arts.

Creatine monohydrate – the most popular form of creatine containing one water molecule. It increases water content in cells and helps to nourish them better, that way supporting the process of muscle mass development.

Creatine citrate – besides creatine, it contains three molecules of citric acid which are ionised and used as an intermediate product in the Krebs cycle. It ensures high stability in an acidic environment and can regulate intracellular pH.

Creatine pyruvatecreatine combined with pyruvic acid, which is an intermediate product in sugar metabolism. Pyruvate is a substrate in the reaction of the Krebs cycle and quickly increases the level of available energy.

Creatine ethyl ester (CEE) – displays great anabolic potential. Creatine ester ensures fast creatine absorption and is highly bioavailable, so its dosage can be lower than that of other forms.

Creatine alphaketoglutaratecreatine combined with alphaketoglutarate, which is an intermediate product in the Krebs cycle. It ensures great bioavailability and reduces muscle protein degradation, that way supporting muscle mass development.

Creatine ethyl ester malate – a modern form of creatine in which both compounds are esterified. The formula guarantees high stability and bioavailability, as well as exhibits anabolic and ergogenic potential.

Creatine gluconate – a combination of creatine with glucose, which helps to transport creatine to muscles. Simple sugars stimulate the pancreas to produce insulin, which helps to provide muscles not only with glucose, but also with creatine.

Because each of those forms is characterised by different bioavailability, the blend of ten forms of creatine guarantees complex saturation of muscles with creatine. Additionally, the producer also enriched the product with a formula increasing the transport and assimilability of creatineCreatine Accelerate Blend, containing:

Taurine – a non-proteinogenic amino acid. It affects water and electrolyte balance in the organism and participates in the transport of creatine to muscles.

Betaine anhydrous – a chemical substance naturally present in the organism. It improves cell hydration and increases workout capacity. It can increase the level of the anabolic hormone insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) and reduce cortisol levels.

Gymnema sylvestre extract – an extract of a tropical plant native to Asian countries, used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 2,000 years. It has the ability to maintain healthy blood glucose levels and supports the functioning of the cardiovascular system.

Black pepper extract (BioPerine®) – the active substance is an alkaloid called piperine. It stimulates gastric juice secretion and increases blood flow in the digestive system. It helps the body to absorb nutrients more efficiently.

Vanadium nicotinate glycinate chelate – contains a trace element, vanadium, which regulates blood sugar levels. It increases the transport of nutrients to muscles, exerting a positive effect on regenerative and anabolic processes.

Banaba leaf extract – a source of ellagic acid and numerous tannins. It activates the glucose transporter type 4 (GLUT4), responsible for glucose transport to muscles. By activating insulin, it also increases the transport of creatine and other nutrients to muscle tissues.

Fenugreek seed extract – contains dietary fibre, exerts a positive effect on the functioning of the digestive system and the kidneys. It has anti-inflammatory properties and increases insulin sensitivity.

Additionally, the product contains chromium, an element responsible for many enzymatic reactions in the body. It supports glucose permeation to cells and regulates the level of the sugar in blood. It increases the organism’s immunity and helps to reduce adipose tissue.

To sum up, 5% Nutrition Crea-Ten is a supplement that increases creatine levels in the organism in a complex way. It contains as many as ten forms of creatine as well as substances that facilitate the assimilation of nutrients. It increases glucose uptake in muscles, increasing creatine assimilability and transport in the body, which helps to maintain an anabolic environment in the organism.

Chromium (chemical element from transition group of the chromium, chemically active) is actively involved in the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates. It comes in the easily assimilable organic form and inorganic. Along with insulin, as a component of the glucose tolerance factor (GTF), is used in insulin-dependent diabetes treatment, insulin involved in the metabolism of glucose in t proteins transport. Activator of enzymes involved in the metabolism of fats and cholesterol. Available in animal origin products (liver, veal, chicken, turkey meat, oysters) and plant-origin (bananas, broccoli, cereal, wheat germ, spinach). Supplements containing chromium are recommended for fat loss (also thermogenic), and improving the functioning of the body. The sports supplementation used chromium in the form of mono-preparations or in the form of vitamin-mineral minerals supplements.
Chromium deficiency results in impaired glucose, reducing the insulin sensitivity. It causes a decrease in immunity and endurance of the body. It may be a cause of coronary heart disease. Sometimes it causes neurological disorders.
Dosage: A varied diet prevents from the deficiency of chromium in the body.

Dosage: The recommended dose of 50-150 mg per day.

Creatine (β-methylguanidoacetic acid) is an endogenous substance, synthesized from the acids present in liver and kidney (L-arginine, L-glycine and L-methionine) and consumption of meat. Its action ensures an adenosine triphosphate (ATP) level, which is an energy carrier, increases the hydration of cells and muscle glycogen stores. In the sports supplementation creatine is stored in the muscles, which improves energy management, exercise capacity and quick recovery and muscle growth. Magnesium Creatine Chelate

Magnesium creatine chelate is patented by Albion. The special formulation enables to connect a single molecule of magnesium and creatine which allows the use of the phenomenon of synergism both intensifying muscle function, as well as medically enhancing simultaneously action of the two components, as magnesium and creatine, are involved in the cells processes of energy by increasing the efficiency of metabolism. The use of creatine chelate enhances the body's exercise capacity (strength and endurance). It speeds up the growth of muscle tissue. Recommended for strength athletes, during intense workouts, because it improves the process of muscle regeneration after workout. Available in the form of mono-preparation and as a component of creatine stacks.

Tri Creatine Malate

Tri Creatine Malate is the most powerful formula of creatine malate, coupled to a molecule containing a combination of molecules of creatine and malate molecule. Malate (part of the hydroxy carboxylic acid) is a metabolite of glucose stimulates insulin levels and affecting transport and taking creatine metabolism at rest and stress. It is the easiest absorbed, modern form of creatine, several times higher than creatine monohydrate. This allows for the storage of creatine, which can be used during high demand during exercise. Malate participates in the production of phosphate radicals and helps connect them to creatine (phosphocreatine), preventing muscle spasms and relieving muscle aches. It has a much better solubility in water which allows for better absorption of solutes. Preparations available at
Dosage: 4-5 capsules / 3 - 4 times a day (before meals, after training)

Creatine anhydrous

Creatine anhydrous – a creatine compound without a water molecule and thus with much better absorption in the body. It belongs to advanced supplements which are expected to be highly effective in the body. It is designed for professional athletes who treat supplementation seriously.

Creatine is one of the strongest dietary supplements which can be used legally in professional sport. It shows great anabolic potential due to its far-reaching effects in the body. The main one consists in increasing the utilisation of creatine as a substrate in the phosphate energy pathway. As a result, this supplement maximises the body’s energy efficiency in short-term exercise such as strength training or sprints.

Enhanced energy metabolism helps provide stronger training stimuli which speed up muscle anabolism. However, creatine has also other mechanisms of action. As an inhibitor of myostatins, it eliminates factors which limit the growth of muscle mass. What is more, by boosting cell hydration, it optimises an intracellular environment and thus promotes processes of regeneration and development of muscle tissue.

Creatine monohydrate

Creatine monohydrate is a popular and cheapest form of creatine used in sports supplementation in Poland. This is a molecule, in which are bound: creatine molecule with a molecule of water. It has a high bioavailability and tissue velocity saturation. Supports the exercise capacity (strength and endurance), accelerates muscle growth and regeneration after training exercise. Transport of creatine into the muscle cells is supported by the insulin hormone. For better effect of saturation of the tissues, a diet increasing the content of insulin in the body is indicated (carbohydrate and high protein diet) and supporting nutrients and supplements (Dietary carbohydrate and carbohydrate-protein, insulin ALA, d-pinitol or taurine). Creatine monohydrate is present in the form of mono-preparation supplements (capsules, powders, tablets) and multicomponent supplements (i.e. as a component of creatine stacks).
Dosage: depending on the form of supplement, the type of exercise and weight, normally are used one of the following models of creatine supplementation:
- cyclic supplementation : 5-10g per day in 1-3 portions during the day, 3-5g per dose. The length of the cycle for 4-8 weeks.
- cyclic supplementation with saturated phase: the first 5-7 days after 20-30g daily in 4-6 doses of 4-6g per serving, then the maintenance phase 2-10g per day in divided doses. The length of the cycle 4-8 weeks
- constant supplementation: 0,03-0,05g per kg of body weight for an extended period of time.

Creatine citrate

Creatine citrate is formed from the combination of creatine molecules and three molecules of citric acid in one molecule. It is a substance soluble in body fluids, more soluble than creatine monohydrate. Ionized citric acid (citrate) is involved in energy conversion, by acting in conjunction with creatine, increases this potential and gives the compound an additional properties. Creatine citrate, when used systematically, effects the energy storage, supporting the exercise capacity (strength and endurance) and increase of muscle mass. It has a regenerative ability through a pH, return to ATP balance in combination with anabolic activity of kinases activated by creatine. Due to the responsibility of the hormone insulin for the transport of creatine into the muscle cells, it is desirable to use creatine during meals or by the use of supplements (carbohydrate, carbohydrate-protein, insulin-like) and citrate creatine mono-preparation and multi-compaund supplements and as supplement to creatine stacks.
Dosage: Depending on the form of supplement, the type of exercise and weight, usually used one of the following creatine supplementation models:
1) supplementation cycle: 5-10g per day in 1-3 portions during the day, 2-5g per dose. Cycle length of about 4-12 weeks
2) constant supplementation: 0,03-0,05g per kg body weight for an extended period of time.

Creatine pyruvate

Creatine pyruvate (creatine pyruvate) is formed from the binding of molecules of the two components in one molecule. Pyruvate (pyruvic acid belonging to the oxo acids) is formed as an intermediate product of metabolism of saccharides, proteins and fats, it is an important participant in the energy conversion, of which the intracellular level affects the exercise capacity (strength and endurance), accelerates the reduction of body fat. Phosphocreatine (a form of creatine) is involved in maintaining the balance of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) with the ability to replenish in the organism, which is the main carrier of energy within cells. It improves the hydration of muscle cells and the content of glycogen accumulated in them.
The use of creatine pyruvate is recommended to athletes and other sportsmen in all fields of sport and people with high physical activity as part of the diet and support the effort (provides rapid strength gain, accelerates regeneration of the body), causing increases in lean body mass and improve its aesthetics and reduce body fat. Available in the form of mono-preparation supplements and a component of creatine stacks, available for purchase at
Dosage: 2 - 3 mg in the morning and in the evening.

Creatine ethyl ester

Creatine ethyl ester (CEE) - Creatine with strong anabolic, catabolic and erogenic potential obtained through esterification, to obtain a higher bioavailability of creatine, and thus reducing the value of its individual doses. This results in lower weight gain than during use of special forms of creatine but better quality. Creatine ethyl ester is used in sports supplementation to obtain improvement in exercise capacity (strength and endurance) as mono-preparation supplement (in tablet form) or as a nutritional supplement (creatine stacks) and pre-workout supplements.

Creatine gluconate

Creatine gluconate - a combination of a molecule of creatine and glucose, increasing the bioavailability of nutrients from the digestive tract into the bloodstream and from there on to muscle cells. Used in creatine supplementation, recommended for physically active people and athletes practising strength and strength-endurance sports as an element of increasing the exercise capacity and as component supplementing the diet, enhancing anabolic and anti-catabolic potential of creatine. Creatine has also ergogenic potential. The use of equivalent doses guarantees an increased strength, lean body mass and improvement of body composition and body aesthetics. On the market supplement it is available as a component of the advanced pre- and post-workout preparations.

Taurine – non-protein amino acid containing sulphur, which is synthesized in the body from methionine and cysteine, present in sufficient amount in human or animal body (in the brain, heart and skeletal), although in some cases must be supplemented. Significantly affects the calcium content in the cells and stabilizes the water and electrolyte balance and maintains acid-base balance. Takes part in the synthesis of bile acids. In the body acts as a neurotransmitter and neuromodulator. It is an insulin-mimetic improving insulin metabolism, responsible for transport of nutrients (such as amino acids, glucose, creatine) to the cells and muscle tissue. These properties determine that it is a valued mono-preparation supplement and valuable addition to creatine and amino acid supplements, recommended for psycho-pchysically active people and athletes and other competitive sportsmen in pre- and post-workout periods.
Dosage: 3 grams per day.

Betaine (N, N, N-trimethylglycine, the TMG) is methyl glycine derivative participating in the conversion of homocysteine to methionine. It is present in food of plant origin and produced by the body in the liver or kidneys. The medicine uses it in the treatment of gastrointestinal and digestive disorders and hyperhomocysteinemia. In the supplements that increase the level of homocysteine used together with glycocyamine, indirectly influences the endogenous synthesis of creatine. There is no mono-preparation supplement containing betaine. Available in creatine stacks and the detoxicating supplements.

Bioperine - a black pepper extract, which is a source of plant alkaloid – piperine, enhancing secretion of digestive juices, affecting the increase of the availability of food (and other chemicals) and regulating the digestive tract. Through the access to food and chemicals, it indirectly influences the development of muscle tissue and increases the exercise capacity (psychophysical). There has been a positive effect on the immune system and the intensification of the lipolysis processes observed. Available in the form of mono-preparations and as a component of supplements and nutrients.
Dosage: 5-10 mg per day.

Vanadium (element, chemical symbol V, atomic no.. 23, subgroup vanadium) it is a microelement (trace element), not fully recognised. Studies carried out on animals show, that it inhibits the formation of bad cholesterol in the blood, preventing cardiac diseases. Activates the insulin receptor and allows for a reduction of blood glucose. It shows the effect of insulin and allows for transport of nutrients into the muscle tissue. Proper nutrition fulfils the body's need for vanadium, which means that there is no need to have it supplemented by synthetic means. The source of this micronutrient are fish.

Banaba leaf extract

The Banaba leaf extract (Lagerstroemia indica), a plant used for centuries by the population of the Philippines to effectively regulate blood sugar levels. It has a slightly diuretic effect and helps to effectively reduce body fat. The raw material is a leaf Banaby containing acids (2a-hydroksyursolic [corsolic acid] and ellagic) and tannins. Corsolic acid is an activator of glucose (GLUT 4) operating insulin-like, facilitating the absorption of glucose and saturation of muscle cells.
In the sports supplementation Banaba leaf extract is used as an ingredient in regulating insulin metabolism, supporting the reduction of body fat and improve the absorption of food by muscle tissue.

Fenugreek (Trigonella forenum) - is a herbaceous plant of the family Fabaceae. Fenugreek seeds (semen foenugraeci) reduce the level of sugar through the action of 4-hydroxyisoleucine and cholesterol in the blood. They are a stimulant of milk production, when used – production of milk increases ninefold. It is a source of diosgenin, gitogenin, yamogenien and tigogenin steroid glycosides (saponins).
