APS Beta-Alanine is a modified version of alanine, which regulates the cellular pH level, contributing to the prolongation of the duration of intense exercise. The high-quality patented formula, CarnoSyn®, ensures excellent bioavailability and rapid absorption, guaranteeing full saturation of skeletal muscles. It allows to postpone the perceived muscle fatigue and to maintain an appropriate pH level in the cells, which ensures the smooth course of metabolic processes.

Beta-alanine – a modified version of alanine, which along with histidine is converted into carnosine in the body. Carnosine is a compound that acts as an acceptor of hydrogen ions generated during intense exercise with low oxygen availability. Thus, it regulates the cellular pH level, whose correct concentration allows to maintain the efficiency of metabolic processes.

CarnoSyn® is a patented form of beta-alanine, ensuring high bioavailability and rapid absorption time. The benefits of its use have been documented in numerous clinical trials, where the level of carnosine in skeletal muscles increased significantly.

Regulation of the pH level in the muscles
During the breakdown of ATP, skeletal muscles accumulate hydrogen ions and pyruvate, from which lactic acid is formed. Their high concentration contributes to the sensation of characteristic "muscle burning" and the loss of proper contraction. Carnosine, by regulating the pH level in skeletal muscles, prevents the accumulation of hydrogen ions and lactic acid, which effectively delays the feeling of fatigue.

Increased body efficiency
Improving the buffering capacity in skeletal muscles is associated with increasing the body's exercise capacity and the ability to maintain a high intensity of training for a longer period of time. It has been repeatedly proven that the intake of beta-alanine improves muscle efficiency and endurance, both in disciplines such as sprints and weight lifting, and those lasting a bit longer, i.e., running or cycling. The ability to generate power and muscle strength also get improved, especially with long-term efforts, where a certain level of fatigue has already accumulated.

Reduced fatigue
Limiting the feeling of muscle exhaustion is associated with e.g., minimizing the accumulation of hydrogen ions and lactic acid. This allows prolongation of the training unit while reducing the sensation of fatigue in the muscles. In addition, beta-alanine may improve cognitive functions during physical exercise, as well as reduce the perceived mental fatigue.

The impact on the body’s compositions
The research with the participation of advanced athletes shows a positive effect of several-week beta-alanine supplementation on the growth of muscle mass. It seems that the mechanism responsible for muscle hypertrophy is the increase in exercise capacity, and thus the training volume. Probably the same mechanism is responsible for the reduction of body fat in people taking beta-alanine, where increasing the training volume increases the number of calories burnt.

In summary, APS Beta-Alanine is a preparation containing high-quality beta-alanine in the patented formula, CarnoSyn®. The clinically-proven efficacy of the formula includes increasing the efficiency of the body, muscle strength and muscle mass and maintenance of metabolic processes. By increasing buffering capacity in the muscles, it prevents the accumulation of metabolic products, which reduces the feeling of fatigue and allows the prolongation of exercise.

Beta-alanine

Information

Beta-alanine (β-alanine) is a β-amino acid (the same group to which the I-alanine belongs, but with different chemistries). In combination with histidine, it forms β-alanyl-L-histidine (carnosine) - a antioxidant, chelating and buffering compound. Carnosine reduces the level of hydrogen ions in the cell and allows to extend the physical performance and endurance, it affects biological recovery after exercise. Beta-alanine is available in the form of single component and advanced amino-acid supplements, creatine stacks and nitrogen boosters.

CarnoSyn

Information

CarnoSyn® is a patented, highly bioavailable form of beta-alanine, designed by Natural Alternatives International (NAI). Its effectiveness has been confirmed by numerous clinical tests. To date, more than 55 independently reviewed studies on the CarnoSyn® properties have been published. CarnoSyn® Beta-alanine is found in advanced, multi-component peri-training formulas, but it can also be purchased as a mono-preparation.

The active ingredient of CarnoSyn® is beta-alanine. This amino acid is used in the body mainly for the production of carnosine, which is responsible for buffering of the drop in pH, associated with the formation of lactic acid in muscle cells during physical exertion. The increased level of carnosine results in better tolerance to effort and growth of muscle strength and endurance, which delays fatigue and prolongs the ability to continue exercise.

Dosage: as to ensure the optimal effect of CarnoSyn®, NAI recommends using 3.2g of the product per day for a minimum period of 4 weeks (the so-called loading phase). In addition, the manufacturer suggests dividing this dose into two portions, (1.6 g each), which helps to avoid the symptoms of paresthesia that sometimes occur following administration of beta-alanine.
