BCAA BCAA

Scitec BCAA 6400 is a dietary supplement containing three branched-chain amino acids ‒ valine, leucine and isoleucine. The product is prepared with the greatest care and is dedicated to athletes performing bodyfitness, strength and endurance sports.

This product can also be used to support people who perform heavy physical work. Regular use helps to increase muscle mass and strength, accelerates post-workout regeneration and allows you to perform longer and more intensive workouts.

BCAA ‒ three branched-chain amino acids, which belong to the group of nine essential amino acids, which means they are necessary for the proper functioning of our body system, however the human body system is unable to synthesise them. Therefore, a properly balanced diet supported with the proper supplementation are necessary. The supplementation may be necessary, because it may be difficult to provide the right amount of BCAA only with food.

What is important for the action of branched-chain amino acids is the fact that they are metabolised in the muscles and not in the liver. They also constitute about 25‒35% of amino acids found in muscles.

BCAA include:

Leucine ‒ definitely the most important one among branched-chain amino acids. This is why the relationship between leucine, isoleucine and valine in the product is 2:1:1. Leucine not only initiates protein synthesis, but also accelerates the process through its influence on mTOR kinase. During metabolic transformations, leucine is also transformed to HMB, which significantly reduces degradation of muscle proteins. It affects also the synthesis of growth hormone and increases sensitivity of muscle cells to the anabolic activity of insulin.

The leucine derivative, ketoleucine, may reduce the level of cortisol, the so-called stress hormone. This hormone shows strong catabolic properties and promotes deposition of adipose tissue, so that its too high level hinders the gain and maintenance of a harmonious figure and the proper body composition.

Isoleucine ‒ above all, its main function is faster regeneration of muscles after intensive training. It is an excellent energy reserve, especially for people who perform endurance workouts. It participates in the synthesis of hemoglobine and in the regulation of blood sugar. Isoleucine supports the repair of tissues after illness, injury or surgery, when the body system is weakened and needs additional support in returning to its full functionality.

Valine ‒ it is mainly responsible for the fact that the use of BCAA during training contributes to the increase in energy and provides glucose to the muscles. During an effort, the brain receives a large amount of tryptophan, which in turn contributes to the production of serotonin (associated by most people with positive feeling after eating chocolate). Its high level increases sleepiness and at the same time reduces exercise capacity. During training, valine competes with tryptophan ‒ the more valine the brain receives the less serotonin is produced, so our muscles will maintain their energy for longer. Apart from stimulating effects, valine has also the ability to stabilise the level of nitrogen, which is important for protein formation.

The importance of BCAA for muscle mass
The use of BCAA brings a number of positive results. The most desired ones include stimulation of protein synthesis and acceleration of gain in strength and muscle mass. BCAA are also helpful during reduction, when intensive workouts combined with a caloric deficit strongly affect degradation of muscle proteins. The use of BCAA significantly inhibits this negative phenomenon.

BCAA ‒ helpful during reduction
What is more, according to many studies, BCAA promote adipose tissue combustion, especially when taken together with resveratrol. When the supply of calories is small for a longer period of time, the production of leptin, which is necessary for reduction, decreases significantly. BCAA positively influence its secretion at an optimal level.

Support in the post-workout regeneration
BCAA supplementation contributes to more efficient regeneration after intensive exercise, which applies to both demanding trainings and hard physical work. This is related to the fact that branched-chain amino acids cause faster activation of signalling paths necessary to restore damaged fibres, this means they let the organism know that it should move the nutrients to the area of our body damaged during exercise. BCAA can also relieve the symptoms of delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), incorrectly identified with muscle sores.

Energy boost during training
Some people treat BCAA as an additional "power boost" during training. Leucine is a source of ATP, the energy carrier used in cell metabolism. Branched-chain amino acids reduce also fatigue, as they reduce the supply of tryptophan into the brain (thereby reducing the substrate for the synthesis of serotonin, whose increased production reduces our exercise predispositions).

BCAA in endurance sports
Of great importance is the use of BCAA by people performing endurance sports. The dose of amino acids applied after long exercise may reduce muscle damage caused by the training. According to studies, supplementing BCAA after intensive exercise reduced the concentration of muscle enzymes, creatine kinase (CK) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), which are indicators of muscle damage.

BCAA and the immune system
The slightly less well-known advantages of BCAA include their beneficial influence on the immune system. BCAA affect the reduction in glutamine level decline caused by the effort, which is an immunostimulant and can inhibit infection.

To sum it up, Scitec BCAA 6400 is a dietary supplement which will be perfect for people performing hard and long-lasting workouts. The support in form of branched-chain amino acids will increase muscle mass, accelerate regeneration and will lead to better results in a shorter time.

Leucine

Information

Leucine is an essential amino acid, one of the three branched chain amino acids, ketogenic, its isomer is isoleucine. It affects the secretion of anabolic hormones (insulin, combined carbohydrates), acts on enzymes (mTOR) starting the process of muscle protein synthesis and controlling its course. Protein synthesis by leucine is affecting the development of bones, muscles and skin. It reduces the fat tissue. Without the availability of leucine, protein synthesis is impossible. It naturally occurs in animal products (such as eggs, meat, dairy and fish), plant origin, and as a post-training supplements, BCAA, EAA, no-boosters, creatine stacks, carbohydrate supplements. Ir is also in the form of mono-preparation supplements. It is one of the most important amino acids for the athlete's body, basically in every sports discipline.
Dosage: The demand is 5-10 g / 24h, dosage pre- and post-workout and in the morning after waking up.

Valine

Information

Valine – is a branched essential amino acid, indispensible for the functioning of the nervous system (receiving of sensory information), involved in muscle protein synthesis and energy generation. Administration of additional doses of valine before exercise (or immediately after) has anti-catabolic effect, protecting the proteins and allowing them to rebuild. It is slightly stimulatory (delays symptoms of fatigue during workout), affecting the level and relations of neurotransmitters. It helps to protect the liver. It stimulates an increase in strength and muscle mass, participates in the reduction of body fat. BCAA, EAA, and other mixtures of amino acid supplementation, protein and protein supplements and carbohydrate-stacks, brings positive results in strength and endurance sports.
Valine deficiency can occur in case of increased energy needs of the body,
as the result of stress and too much stress load.
