Swanson Beef Liver is a dietary supplement containing an extract of powdered defatted beef liver. A desiccated, high-quality liver contains more nutrients than any other type of food. Fundamentally, it works as a multivitamin. It constitutes a fantastic dietary supplement for people who complain of anaemia, weakness, low energy levels, or adrenal fatigue.

The product is characterised by the highest quality; the material used in it originates from Argentinian cows that graze on carefully selected pastures. The animals have constant access to fresh grass, they never come into contact with hormones, antibiotics, pesticides or chemical additives. Thanks to that, they provide meat of the highest quality – Argentinian beef is considered the best in the world both in terms of cleanness and its nutritional and taste value.

Test results show that meat that comes from organs (the liver, the heart, the lungs, the stomachs) is up to 100 times richer in nutrients than that originating from muscles (round, chuck). The desiccated, powdered beef liver closed in capsules comfortable in use constitutes a fantastic dietary supplement with high-quality protein, vitamins and minerals.

There prevails a false belief that the liver accumulates toxins. In fact, it is the ideal filter created by mother nature that performs the detoxifying function and lets the organism get rid of the by-products of metabolism and harmful substances. The liver does not store toxins; instead, it is a natural, rich source of many vitamins, minerals, amino acids, nucleic acids, and lipotropic substances.

Regular liver consumption brings many benefits for health. There is, however, a condition: the meat should be of good quality, originating from organic stock rearing where animals have access to fresh grass and are not fed with industrial feed. For many people it is difficult to get access to such meat; there is also the matter of the taste that some people dislike. The solution are carefully tested, high-quality supplements containing powdered beef liver extracts. It is the best and safest way to supply the organism with the whole range of nutrients contained in the liver.

Vitamins of B complex
The liver is the best source of vitamins of the B complex, particularly vitamins B2, B6, B12 and folic acid. B vitamins play a crucial role in energy production, carbohydrate and fat metabolism, the regulation of blood sugar levels, and the processes of detoxification. They determine the normal functioning of the nervous system, ensure a stable mood, and good mental well-being. They also affect the muscular system – they are responsible for the normal process of muscle contraction (including that of the heart), and help to repair the microdamage of muscle fibres.

Vitamin B9 (folic acid) and B12 are of utmost significance in preventing anaemia. According to a common belief, anaemia is caused only by iron deficiency; however, insufficient folic acid and cobalamin levels lead to the development of the disorder just as frequently.

Easily assimilable iron
The liver contains large amounts of the easily assimilable haem iron. The organism’s requirement of the element is rather large, especially in the case of women. Synthetic agents containing iron are not so easily assimilated, they are accumulated in the organism in the unmetabolised form, and because of that, it is easy to overdose them; however, the problem does not apply in the case of supplements with powdered liver. They provide iron in its most natural and bioavailable form.

Concentrated source of vitamin A
The liver contains large amounts of vitamin A in the form of retinol. Retinol is characterised by fantastic bioavailability – it does not have to be converted in the organism to a different form to be used efficiently. Vitamin A influences a multitude of processes that take place in the body. It is responsible for normal vision, regulates the functioning of the nervous system, participates in the process of spermatogenesis (the formation of male gametes), and affects haemoglobin synthesis.

Wealth of microelements
The liver is a remarkably rich source of many valuable elements. It contains zinc, which determines the process of bone formation and supports male fertility (it participates in the production of sperm and normalises testosterone levels), copper, necessary for collagen production, and chromium, which regulates blood sugar levels. Some tests suggest that chromium increases the speed of lean muscle growth, which is a reason why bodybuilders and sportspeople should take interest in supplementing their diet with a good-quality source of the element.

Apart from that, livers contain coenzyme Q10 that conditions the normal functioning of the cardiovascular system, and purines – DNA and RNA precursors. It is also a fantastic source of complete protein that provides the whole range of essential amino acids.

Beef Liver is a perfect way to supplement your diet with nutrients crucial for your health. The product is recommended as an agent aiding anaemia prevention. It is very beneficial for physically active people.

Fat is an essential nutrient plant and animal organisms. Because of the nutritional value and composition of fats are divided into: saturated (mono-saturated and multi-saturated fatty acids) and unsaturated fatty acids (including essential fatty acids - EFA). The group of lipids include lipids (triacylglycerols, waxes), complex fats (glycolipids, phospholipids), sterols and isoprenoids. Saturated fatty acids is a group of fatty acids having different carbon chain lengths, in which except for the carboxyl group, each of the carbon atoms is bound by a single bond. May adversely affect the lipid profile, so they can be used in limited quantities. Fats are a concentrated source of energy, with different flavours, facilitating the consumption and swallowing of food. They have building functions (part of cell membranes and co-create the white matter of the brain). EFAs are precursors of tissue hormones and biologically active compounds. The unsaturated fatty acids include fatty acids from the group Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9 (the last digit indicates, on which, counting of the end of the chain, there is a double bond in the appropriate carbon chain. The essential fatty acids include: acids, medium-Omega-3 [n-3 ] included in EFAs [essential fatty acids], and long chain (eicosapentaenoic acid [EPA] and docosahexaenoic acid [DHA]) Omega-6 and Omega-9. the number indicates that the last double bond in the carbon chain is on the third from the end carbon atom. The acids from the omega 3 group are essential components of cell membranes, they are precursors of eicosanoids and biological activators. They must be combined with ingestion in suitable proportions of Omega-6 acids.
Dosage: Depending on demand and applied diet. It is generally accepted that fats should constitute 20-30% of the energy (calorie) of meals daily.
