What is Watercress extract?

Watercress extract is a concentrate of active substances found in the plant. Watercress belongs to the crucifer family, which also includes cabbage or broccoli, and is characterised by similar properties.

Consuming watercress helps to reduce DNA molecule damage. The plant is also known for its anticancer effect, especially when it comes to breast, ovarian, prostate cancer and other oestrogen-depended types of cancer. Active substances, such as sulphoraphane and diindolylmethane, are extremely beneficial for oestrogen management in the organism and prevent the hormones from causing damage. On the one hand, the substances inhibit their production and reduce conversion from androgens; on the other, they block the metabolic pathways that lead to the synthesis of the carcinogenic forms of oestrogens. Watercress is also a fantastic source of lutein, which protects the eyes from the destructive damage of free radicals.

Watercress can be found in preparations offered by muscle-zone.pl.
