Seeking Health ProBiota HistaminX is a unique probiotic complex designed for people who deal with hypersensitivity or intolerance of histamine. The preparation is conducive to improving immunity, regulates the immune response of the organism and facilitates the work of the digestive system. Moreover, it effectively alleviates the symptoms of allergy.

In the composition of the preparation there are carefully selected strains of probiotic bacteria, which are conducive to DAO production (an enzyme braking down histamine) and support the functioning of the intestinal barrier. The formula is free from strains, which are responsible for converting histidine in histamine and may deteriorate the problem in people sensitive to the presence of histamine.

The effectiveness of the supplement is supported by a special system of encapsulation. Probiotic bacteria were closed in innovative acid-resistant capsules, which allow them to go through the unbeneficial environment of the stomach and safely reach the intestines, i.e. a target place of activity.

Problematic histamine
Histamine is an organic chemical compound classified to the group of tissue hormones, which in the human organism is synthesized from histidine. It plays a few important functions - i.a. it takes part in the transport of blood and supports the process of digestion. A fundamental role of histamine is the function of pro-inflammatory mediator. After the contact with an allergen, it is released from mast cells and cause a range of biochemical reactions, as a consequence of which the symptoms of allergy appear (rash, nasal secretion, hay fever, diarrheas and in extreme cases even problems with breathing or sudden drop of blood pressure).

Histamine is also present in food. Large amounts of histamine are contained in pickled products, some types of cheese and cocoa. It may be also encountered in processed food products, especially in “light” products, where fats are replaced by chemical compounds, which are a powerful source of histamine.

A central role in histamine metabolism is played by the enzyme DAO (diamine oxidase). The stimulus for its production is food, which contains a lot of histamine. DAO deficiency or the intake of large amounts of products which contain DAO inhibitors slow down the process of histamine elimination from the organism, which may cause the symptoms related to intolerance. A considerable role in the development of histamine intolerance is played by disorders of intestinal microflora. Researchers suggest here permeability of intenseness and SIBO.

Probiotics and histamine
Probiotics may actively support the management of histamine level, however, not all strains of probiotic bacteria will be appropriate for people with hypersensitivity or intolerance of histamine. It should be borne in mind that some species inhabiting the intestines are responsible for transforming histidine into histamine, therefore strengthening their population may increase histamine production and intensify the problem of its intolerance.

The presented supplement contains very carefully selected probiotic bacteria strains. None of them are responsible for the production of histamine. The producer of the preparation focused on the strains, which tighten intestinal barrier and support the breakdown of biogenic amines (including also histamine).

Bifidobacterium infantis naturally occurs in oral cavity and digestive system. It alleviates the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inhibits inflammations, which helps to decrease permeability of intestines.

Bifidobacterium bifidumcolonizes primarily mucous membrane of the large intestine and reproductive tract of women. It positively modifies microflora of the digestive system, increasing the amount of lactic acid bacteria and decreasing the population of undesirable bacteria (e.g. E. Coli). It breaks down both histamine and tyramine (biogenic amine abundantly appearing in food). In excess it causes migraines and heart rhythm disorders.

Bifidobacterium longuminhabits the digestive system. It increases intestinal tightness, helps in histamine degradation and decreases inflammatory response of the organism after a meal containing histamine. Strengthening the population of these bacteria may decrease the symptoms of histamine intolerance.

Bifidobacterium lactisinhabits mainly the large intestine and the final part of ileum. It regulates bowel movement, decreases ailments of the digestive system. Moreover, it is conducive to the improvement of immunological parameters, decreases the level of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators of inflammations. In people who seasonally suffer from allergies, it promotes the desired balance between lymphocytes Th1 and Th2, which is reflected in alleviating the symptoms of allergy.

Bifidobacterium breveappears in the gastro-intestinal tract and may be found in mother’s milk. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties. It maintains proper proportions of Th1 to Th2 and inhibits the production of IgE antibodies. Moreover, it limits degranulation of mast cells.

Lactobacillus salivariusone of the most common kinds of probiotic bacteria. It improves the composition of intestinal microflora and strengthens the immune response. It also produces a range of antimicrobial substances and regulates the level of mediators of inflammation. It may alleviate the symptoms of asthma.

Lactobacillus plantarum possesses incredible ability to adapt and may survive in various temperatures. It demonstrates antioxidant properties, is conducive to maintaining proper intestinal tightness and stimulates regeneration of intestinal lining. It is able to break down histamine and other biogenic amines.

To sum up, Seeking Health ProBiota HistaminX is a preparation from the group of the so-called targeted probiotics. It allows to use the activity of probiotic bacteria in order to alleviate histamine intolerance. At the same time it causes additional benefits of probiotic therapy, i.e. it perfectly regulates the work of the digestive system and strengthens immunity.
